Overview & Capabilities

I am currently working on a research project continuing the development of an electrochemical sensor. The goal is to match the performance of commercial electrochemical sensors at a fraction of the cost, utilizing the highly integrated LMP91000 IC.

Currently, this sensor supports chronoamperometry, cyclic voltammetry, square wave voltammetry, and differential pulse voltammetry. I plan to collaborate with the chemistry team to further expand its electrochemical experiment capabilities.

Wireless Integration

A standout feature of this low-cost sensor is its Bluetooth connectivity, paired with a custom smartphone app. This setup provides real-time feedback and visualization of sensor readings, making field testing and data collection incredibly efficient.

Future Work

I hope to iterate on the PCB design, utilizing electromagnetic simulation software to implement an on-board trace antenna. This will significantly improve Bluetooth performance and allow us to analyze the effects of EMI on experiment results.

We will work to finalize the design and begin investigating practical applications such as glucose monitoring and environmental sensing. I aim to publish our results in a journal paper by the end of the year.
